Course Objectives
–To study the basics of Shari’ah relating to banking transactions in the side of both mobilization of financial resources compared to conventional banking practices
–To examine the Shari’ah principles in connection with the uses of financial resources by Islamic financial institutions visa-a-vis their conventional counterparts
–To discuss funding mechanisms adopted by Islamic banks to finance various economic activities in government sector as well as in the private sector
–To examine experiences of some banks that apply Islamic finance to fund projects and corporations.
Who may participate?
–Employee who are working at Islamic banks and conventional banks offering Islamic financial services, particularly bank personnel or the junior bankers who have not previously been involved in Shari’ah-compatible banking operations.
